TROND TUFTE

Trond Tufte, who joined Saluki as guitarist in 2017, has a background in the bands Celeste, Jydske Rev and Lassen. He has also been a musical contributor to the poet Arild Nyquist. Tufte started Guitar Workshop AS together with Jonas Fjeld and Jan Braahten, where they patented "locking tuners" and collaborated with well-known guitarists and companies such as Mesa/Boogie, Martin Guitars and Tom Anderson Guitarworks. He was central to the design of Marius Müller's ESP Signature model and Øystein Sunde's Martin Signature model, and supplied three basses to Rick Danko from The Band.

Trond Tufte plays an important role as guitarist in today's Saluki, a Norwegian progressive rock band. He is known for his technical prowess and ability to combine complex rhythms with melodic lines. Tufte adds a dynamic and atmospheric sound to the band's music, and his guitar playing is central to creating the soundscapes that characterize Saluki's music. With a varied expression that ranges from quiet and subtle passages to powerful and energetic riffs, he contributes to the band's unique sound profile.
